As the so-called “computer mud flop” around the
office, I am pleased to tell you about an exciting upgrade to our email
communications. Hoey, Farina & Downes is proud to unveil its
new HTML email newsletter. The new & improved
HTML Straight Track means that your email will be easier to read -- and
easier on the eyes, too! The HTML version also lets us show you photos,
graphics, and color, and makes it easier for you to make use of our useful
links.
With the new HTML version,
you'll still get the same clear, insightful, and reliable information that
you expect from Hoey, Farina & Downes -- and we think you'll enjoy
reading it even more in HTML.
Some Internet service
providers, including AOL and CompuServe, do not display email in HTML from
users outside of their networks. You may still receive Straight Track email in
text format (our AOL subscribers automatically will be receiving text
format). If you are having difficulties reading the HTML formatted
Straight Track, or to request text only message, please drop us a line at info@felahfd.com.
Much More In
The Pipeline
For
nearly a year now, Straight Track has been a forum for railroad health and
safety information as well as a place to exchange ideas about the current
issues affecting railroaders and their families.
As
we approach Straight Track’s one-year anniversary, we have many new
projects in the pipeline --- including streaming Internet demonstration
videos and CD-ROMs. The video will begin with a look at the initial
interview after a railroad worker gets injured, and include follow up
demonstrations of the injured railroader’s visit to see the company
doctor and his own personal physician. At each point along the injured
railroader’s path, HF&D attorneys will explain in detail the steps
you and your family need to understand before you get hurt.
If
you have any thoughts on what you would like to see as part of Straight
Track’s demonstration videos, drop us a line at info@felahfd.com.
Net Track
We
are also continuing with our Net Track Seminar. The Net Track
Seminar offers officers instruction on how to set up a Web site for their
local, lodge or division. So far, we have helped seven local, lodges and
divisions get an Internet presence and develop more effective ways to use
the Internet to keep their members better informed of issues that effect
every railroader. If you are interested HF&D’s Net Track Seminar,
please drop me an email at bmcmahon@felahfd.com,
or call toll free 1-888-425-1212, to request our free “Web Site Starter
Kit” that will explain the first steps to building a Web site for your
local, lodge or division.
Free Mouse Pad
To thank you for being part of the exciting first
year of Straight Track, we want to send you a free HF&D mouse pad. To
receive your free mouse pad, drop us an email at info@felahfd.com
with your name, full address, telephone number, the name of your
union and the local/lodge/division number, and the name of the railroad
you work on.
For those of you who might not be subscribers but
have read Straight Track at your union meetings or were forwarded a copy
as an email, you too can receive a free mouse pad! Just call our office
toll free at 1-888-425-1212, or drop us an email at info@felahfd.com

you work on.
As always, Hoey & Farina respects your privacy and will
keep all provided information confidential.
We
hope Straight Track and our other new & exciting projects continue to
serve, and demonstrate our commitment to, railroaders and their families.
Thanks again for subscribing to Straight Track, and stay tuned for more
news and information in the New Year!
