A Mexican national worked on a cutting machine manufactured and sold by Defendant. Due to a negligent design, the machine was built without proper finger guard and emergency stop button. Plaintiff suffered amputating injuries to three of his fingers. The first trial ended in “not guilty” when Plaintiff was unable to return to the U.S. for trial. During second trial, one juror was arrested for soliciting a bribe from Defendant to fix the case.
