A 53 year man went to Defendant hospital for treatment of a lung infection. Defendant performed a spinal tap causing Plaintiff to suffer a seizure and cardiac arrest. Plaintiff suffered catastrophic and permanent brain damage, ultimately resulting in his death one year later. The case was tried in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois. Testimony proved that portions of Plaintiff’s charts were both falsified and missing.
